Foundation Program

These classes are designed for those who wish to follow the Buddhist path more systematically. The program provides students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding and experience of Buddha’s teachings. Based on six of Geshe Kelsang‘s books, it combines study, meditation and group discussion. How to understand the mind

Sundays, 1:30-4:00 pm
with Jane Douglas

This book offers us deep insight into our mind, and shows how an understanding of its nature and functions can be used practically in everyday experience to improve our lives.

Now studying Part 2 of the book:

Part 2 describes different types of mind in detail, revealing the depth and profundity of the Buddhist understanding of the mind. It concludes with a detailed explanation of meditation, showing how by controlling and transforming our mind we can attain a lasting state of joy, independent of external conditions.

The Teacher Training Program

These classes are aimed at students who aspire to teach the Dharma. In addition to completing the study of 13 texts, students are also required to observe certain commitments with regard to their way of life, participate in a number of meditation retreats per year, and attend teaching skills classes. Great Treasury of Merit

Through a full explanation of how to practise Offering to the Spiritual Guide, one of the most profound practices of Mahayana Buddhism, Great Treasury of Merit shows clearly how we can develop and deepen our relationship with our Spiritual Guide, the cornerstone of spiritual life. It also contains a great wealth of accessible and practical instructions on the practices of the stages of the path and training the mind, and the Tantric path to full enlightenment – the essence of Mahayana Buddhist practice, both Sutra and Tantra.
