The Heart of Compassion

Compassion is a wish to protect others from suffering which arises on the basis of love. Through meditation, we can nurture this potential and expand this powerful heart to more and more living beings. For as long as we have compassion we will make an effort not to harm others, always keeping in mind that they have their own difficulties and sorrows. When our mind is governed by compassion we always feel at peace and our mind cannot be disturbed by delusions such as anger and attachment.
