Lamp for the Path Retreat

Developing Wisdom & Compassion

Thursday, January 3 – Monday, January 7, 2019
with Resident Teacher Kelsang Chöyang
and senior teachers from Joyful Land

During this annual retreat we are guided through twenty-one traditional meditations that deepen our wisdom and compassion, which are true sources of happiness. By meditating on our precious human life, death and impermanence, karma, as well as love and compassion, we can solve our daily problems of restlessness and anxiety, and improve our ability to be patient and kind.

We meditate in combination with prayers, in order to receive inspiring blessings, to improve concentration, and transform our mind. Each meditation topic will be explained in brief.

The retreat begins on Thursday, January 3 and ends on Monday, January 7. Beginners and more experienced meditators are welcome to participate, whether for a few sessions, one or two days, or the entire retreat.
