In striving to accomplish our goals and to find real meaningful happiness, we often encounter many obstacles. No matter how much effort we put into it, often we still don’t manage to get what we want. Some attribute this to bad luck, but in reality it depends on whether we’ve created the right causes and conditions. We need to first create conducive conditions for success and this means creating powerful positive karma or merit that is the main cause of all our happiness, success, and even “good luck”. Buddha taught many powerful methods to create this positive energy such as the practice of giving, rejoicing in others’ happiness, and mentally creating a pure world or “mandala” and offering it to all Enlightened beings.
On this course, Gen Thekchen will explain proven methods to create the actual causes for both the temporary happiness of this life and the ultimate happiness of full enlightenment. Gen Thekchen will also introduce the profound practice of offering a mandala which we will have the opportunity to do in the 4 day retreat that follows this course.
