Life of Buddha Movie Night
For many years, at the end of every Summer Festival the story of Buddha Shakyamuni's life was told in a live performance. Through Venerable Geshe-la's kindness, everyone can witness the 12 deeds that Buddha performed in his life.
We are hosting a movie viewing at the Centre so that anyone in our community can enjoy seeing Buddha's life portrayed in film. We will have pizza & snacks, watch the film, and conclude with a special message that Venerable Geshe-la gave at the conclusion of the play after his final Summer Festival serving as the General Spiritual Director of the NKT.
This will be an inspiring event that will help us better understand the profound impacts that Buddha Shakyamuni's deeds have in this world.

Saturday, April 11, 2026:
6:30 -9:00 pm (includes an intermission)
~ We'll begin at 6:30 with a light meal of vegetarian pizza and vegan samosas.
~ At 7:00 we'll start watching the movie
~ There will be a short intermission - light snacks such as popcorn and refreshments will be available throughout!
As conscientious Dharma practitioners, we should observe our own shortcomings instead of being preoccupied with those of other people.
