Self-love, Self-care, Self-respect and Self-confidence:
A Buddhist Perspective Course
With Gen Kelsang Thekchen
Saturday May 3, from 10am to 1pm
Self-criticism and self-loathing make us miserable, sabotaging our ability to grow into the person we wish to be. Superficial affirmations are not enough to help us abandon these negative minds. They will continue to obscure our true nature and undermine any personal development until we address them directly.
In this half-day course, we will look at how we tend to base our confidence on deluded, distorted and exaggerated views of ourself and others, which actually leads to low self-esteem, self-criticism and a lack of self-respect.
Once we develop genuine self-confidence rooted in reality and an awareness of our limitless potential, we will naturally develop more authentic self-love, self-care, and self-respect. We will become more gentle with ourselves and others and we will be able to grow spiritually and develop into the happy, wise and compassionate person we long to be.
This half-day course will include practical teachings and guided meditations. Everyone is welcome.
