What's Love got to do with it?
with love panel

Our relationships with others are so important.  Most of our relationships are based on a mixture of love and attachment.  To get the most out of our relationships with others, we need to learn to distinguish attachment from love and gradually try to reduce our attachment and increase our love until it becomes pure.

The first half of the course will be taught by our resident teacher, Gen Kelsang Thekchen.  The second session will be a Q&A with a panel of three senior Kadampa Buddhist practitioners: Toolika Rastogi, Cate Henderson & Rob Menzies.  This is an opportunity to ask questions to practitioners who have been applying these teachings in their relationships for a long time. Come learn how to practically improve your relationships with others.

An event not to be missed! Everyone is welcome.

Gen Kelsang Thekchen, Buddhist Monk & TeacherThis course will be taught by Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Thekchen, who is a Kadampa Buddhist monk & senior Teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition. He has been a Teacher under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 30 years. Gen Thekchen has taught widely in Canada and in the UK, and is now the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Ottawa. He is well known for his ability to present Buddha's teachings in a practical, profound and often humorous way, making them very accessible and easy to practise in everyday life.

The panel of three senior students will be comprised of Toolika Rastogi, Cate Henderson and Rob Menzies, all of whom have studied and practised Kadampa Buddhism for a long period of time, and all of whom have experience of practically applying the teachings on love and attachment in their family, work and other relationships. Gen Thekchen and the panel will discuss their personal experience of applying the teachings with those attending this course, based on attendees' questions. Enjoy!
(Please note that the panel segment of the course will not be livestreamed. )
