Feeling joyful and connected to others is essential for our sense of wellbeing, inner peace, and happiness. However, even in a place in which we're surrounded by people, a sense of connection can be elusive, leaving us feeling isolated even in an age of ‘connectivity’.
Connection is something we experience in the mind, and therefore it is a feeling that needs to be cultivated by the mind. In this public talk, we will explore simple but powerful meditations that gently open the heart and create a genuine feeling of connection with others. We discover a natural warmth and openness from within, allowing us to enjoy life more fully and find greater meaning and purpose.
This public talk will include a clear presentation of meditations to develop inner peace, improve concentration and open the heart of love and compassion. Everyone is welcome!
The talk will be followed by a series of five weekly guided meditation classes
with Gen Thekchen:
Wednesday evenings, Oct 14 - Nov 11
7-8:15pm
at Galilee Retreat Centre (in Martha's Place)
398 John St N, Arnprior
Cost: $15 per class, or $60 for the series of 5 classes
These 5 weekly classes at Galilee will continue the theme of exploring meditation methods to feel connected and at peace with the people and the world around us.
Each class will include two guided meditations and a practical talk on a different topic. There will be time for Q&A and and you can stay for refreshments and talk to the Teacher after the class.
