on Parliament Hill
Saturday May 18
from 11:30am to 12pm
Come join us on the front lawn of Parliament Hill where Gen Kelsang Thekchen, Buddhist Monk, and Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Ottawa, will guide us on a beautiful peace inducing meditation. This clarity of mind meditation is a powerful meditation for creating deep inner peace. He will also lead us on a powerful practice for developing compassion to all those who are suffering in this world and then sending out peace and happiness to all.
Please bring a cushion or blanket with you, to help you to sit comfortably!
We recommend you register in advance, please see below.
Everyone is welcome!
This meditation will be led by Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Thekchen, who is a senior Teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition. He has been a Kadampa Buddhist monk and Teacher under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 25 years. He is well known for his ability to present Buddha's teachings in a simple, practical and often humorous way, making them easy to put into practice in everyday life.
In the beginning of our practice the most essential thing is to tame our mind, for only this will enable us to benefit all sentient beings.
