Can you believe it's been 30 years since our Centre in Ottawa was founded? Yes, it's really been that long! We're organizing a special 30th Anniversary Event on Saturday September 26, to celebrate with students, members of our community & friends, old & new.
You’re invited to join us at our beautiful Centre in mid-town Ottawa to celebrate our 30nd anniversary.
Come and rejoice with us in our history, activities, and most of all, yourself and everyone else who has contributed to, and is contributing to our beloved spiritual community. How wonderful that 30 years ago Venerable Geshe-la, our Founder and Spiritual Guide, in response to the requests of people in Ottawa, conceived of a Kadampa Centre in our city.

A special talk for our 30th anniversary
with our National Spiritual Director
Gen Kelsang Chodor
Saturday Sept 26, 10am-1pm
at KMC Ottawa

Deep down, every one of us wishes to live a life of genuine meaning and purpose. According to Buddha’s teachings, the way we can create such a life is by becoming a Bodhisattva. A Bodhisattva is someone who is motivated by deep compassion for others and aspires to develop their wisdom and good qualities - not only for their own benefit, but more importantly to make s positive difference in the lives of others. In a world increasingly affected by conflict, fear and uncertainty, wise and compassionate people are needed more than ever. The wonderful truth is that we can all become Bodhisattvas.
In this inspiring course, Gen Chodor will explain how we can transform every aspect of our daily life - from walking, talking and eating to working and relaxing - into the Bodhisattva way of life, a path to lasting freedom and happiness. Through this, we will naturally develop kindness, patience, wisdom and generosity, creating a life of extraordinary meaning, purpose and benefit for both ourselves and others.
Everyone is welcome.
