with Buddhist monk & Teacher Gen Kelsang Thekchen
Saturday June 13
from 11:30 am
Free of charge | Please register below | Donations graciously accepted

Come join us at Kiweki Point behind the National Gallery where Gen Kelsang Thekchen, Buddhist Monk and Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Ottawa, will guide us in a beautiful peace inducing meditation. This clarity of mind meditation is a powerful meditation for creating deep inner peace. He will also lead us on a powerful practice for developing compassion to all those who are suffering in this world, and we will then dedicate these meditations to world peace.
Please bring a cushion or blanket with you, to help you to sit comfortably!
Although this event is free of charge, we recommend you register in advance - see registration below.
Everyone is welcome!
This meditation will be led by Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Thekchen, who is a senior Teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition. He has been a Kadampa Buddhist monk and Teacher under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 30 years. He is well known for his ability to present Buddha's teachings in a simple, practical and often humorous way, making them easy to put into practice in everyday life.
In the beginning of our practice the most essential thing is to tame our mind, for only this will enable us to benefit all sentient beings.
