A four-day retreat
Refuge Retreat
with Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Thekchen
Sunday March 17 - Wednesday March 20

at Kadampa Meditation Centre Ottawa

This retreat offers a wonderful opportunity to deepen your experience of Buddhist refuge.  The retreat will include guidance on how to develop the main causes of refuge: fear of the sufferings of this cycle of suffering and delusions and faith in Buddha Dharma and Sangha.  It will also allow for silent meditation where we meditate on developing our inner good qualities of love, compassion and wisdom.  This retreat is partially guided by our Resident Teacher, Gen Kelsang Thekchen.

A half-day course about refuge called "Shelter from the Storm ~ Finding Peace of Mind in Buddha, Dharma & Sangha" will be given the day before this retreat begins, on Sat. March 16 (10am-1pm). For information about the course, click here.

In the beginning of our practice the most essential thing is to tame our mind, for only this will enable us to benefit all sentient beings.
