What is Positive Thinking?
This class will be taught in 4 locations across Ottawa, all on June 24 (see list below).
Jane Douglas will be the Teacher at KMC Ottawa, 879 Somerset Street West.
When we hear the term ‘positive thinking’ we may assume it means simply telling ourself to be happy, or to be more affirming. Although any practice that reduces negativity is valuable, the Buddhist approach to mental peace involves gradually changing our negative responses to positive ones. Over time, this training provides inner stability and freedom to be happy regardless of the external circumstances. This short class will focus on the practice of patient acceptance as a method to reduce frustration and dissatisfaction through meditation.
