A meditation class for everyone

Wednesday Evening
HYT Classes in September

with Gen Thekchen

Wednesdays, Sept 9, 16, 23 and 30
7pm - 8:45pm

Note: These classes are intended for those who have already received
a Highest Yoga Tantra empowerment of Vajrayogini,
or who intend to receive this empowerment in the near future.

These classes offer a precious opportunity to deepen our understanding and experience of the profound Highest Yoga Tantra practice of Vajrayogini and Heruka, with a focus on the two essential stages of practice — the Generation Stage and the Completion Stage. Based on New Guide to Dakini Land, and Essence of Vajrayana by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the classes will explore how these extraordinary meditations enable us to make swift progress along the path to enlightenment.

Each week will include practical teachings along with ample time for meditation practice using Dakini Yoga and Yoga of Buddha Heruka sadhanas. In this way, we can develop greater clarity and confidence in the practice, while gradually cultivating a heartfelt experience of Vajrayogini and Heruka meditation that brings deep and lasting change in daily life.

We also have many books and materials available at our Centre bookshop to help people deepen their learning and experience through further reading.

Format of the classes:
• An introduction to the class
• An initial settling meditation - root mind meditation (10 minutes)
• A brief prayer to set a good motivation
• A teaching on a particular practice
• Guided meditation and practice
• Time for discussion and Q&A
• Optional refreshments and snacks afterwards

The Teacher for these classes is our Resident Teacher Gen Thekchen, who is a senior Teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition. He has been a Kadampa Buddhist monk and Teacher under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 30 years. He is well known for his ability to present Buddha's teachings in a simple, profound, practical and often humorous way, making them easy to put into practice in everyday life.

These classes are free-of-charge for HYT practitioners.

Whereas each one of us is just one single person, other living beings are countless in number; therefore the happiness and freedom of others are much more important than our own.
