A Special Day Retreat

Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition.
But on this auspicious day, June 4, ‘Buddha’s Turning of the Wheel of Dharma Day’, students at Kadampa centres around the world offer their faith and gratitude by engaging in a one day retreat. We use the special prayers The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to High-test Yoga Tantra, and Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collect our Guru’s name mantra.
This retreat is unguided. Everyone is welcome.
Schedule
Session 1: 9-10:30am
Session 2: 11:30-1pm
Session 3: 3-4:30pm
In each of the three retreat sessions we will use the prayer booklet called The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra, and insert the special prayer, Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples. Copies of both prayer booklets will be available at the retreat.
One of the greatest gifts of Dharma is that it teaches us how to purify our past non-virtues.
