Wednesday evenings: Meditations for a Meaningful Life

Wednesday evenings: Meditations for a Meaningful Life

Wednesdays, 7-8:30pm | January 9 onwards

7:00 to 8:30 pm

In this series of classes, we will explore 21 objects of meditation which are a special presentation of Buddha’s teachings known as the Lamrim, or Stages of the Path. These classes are intermediate in level, meaning they will provide those who already have some experience of Buddhist practice an opportunity to gain deeper levels of understanding and experience. However, many beginners also appreciate and enjoy these classes. So, whether a beginner or long-term practitioner, anyone can benefit from these teachings.

Through contemplating and meditating on these special views taught by Buddha, and then practicing them in our daily life, we will develop and stabilize positive states of mind which are the real source of happiness and protection from suffering, leading us to deeper and more stable levels of inner peace, and giving us the ability to benefit others. Each class will include teaching, meditation, and practical advice for practising in daily life.

Although presented as a series, each class is self-contained, so it’s not necessary to attend all of the classes; there is benefit from attending any of them. Pre-registration is not required. Everyone is welcome!
